1. I can agree with the sentence "Once the idea of the piece is established in the artist's mind and the final form is decided, the process is carried out blindly. There are many side effects that the artist cannot imagine. These may be used as ideas for new works."
-Most of the time when I think about creating art, I need to think out the whole idea first before taking action or else I wouldn't know where to start. But when I start the carry out the process, sometimes the decisions made are random or made unconsciously. Then there are those moments when I make a mistake or 'add too much or too little' and luckily these side effects become things I can branch off of to make the art better.
2. I think the sentence "The artist cannot imagine his art, and cannot perceive it until it is complete." can sort of contrast the quote above. I would say an artist can imagine his art, because if not, how would one know how to start or what to create. I can agree that the action of creating art can sometimes be random, but there has to be an idea or picture that the artist has imagined before hand.
